Stoked Sauna Share facilitates connections between hosts and guests but does not provide, operate, or maintain sauna facilities. Please consult with your healthcare provider before using saunas, especially if you have any health conditions.

Before Your Visit

Communicate with your host about any health conditions or concerns

Confirm arrival time, parking instructions, and entry procedures

Ask about sauna temperature, session length recommendations, and amenities

Bring water, towels, and appropriate clothing as advised by your host

Inform someone of your plans and expected return time

Review the specific sauna rules provided by your host

Health & Wellness

Consult your doctor before sauna use if you have health conditions

Do not use saunas if pregnant, have heart conditions, or take certain medications

Stay hydrated - drink water before, during, and after sauna sessions

Listen to your body - exit immediately if you feel dizzy, nauseous, or unwell

Start with shorter sessions (5-10 minutes) and gradually increase

Cool down gradually - avoid cold showers immediately after intense heat

Do not use alcohol or drugs before or during sauna sessions

Sauna Etiquette

Always sit or lie on a clean towel - never directly on benches

Shower before entering the sauna to maintain cleanliness

Keep conversations quiet and respectful of others' relaxation

Respect personal space and privacy of other users

Close the door quickly to maintain temperature

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to your host

Know how to properly exit the sauna and cool down area

Keep emergency contacts accessible on your phone

Host Responsibilities

Provide clear safety instructions and emergency procedures

Maintain clean, safe, and properly functioning equipment

Be available for questions and emergencies during bookings

Provide first aid kit and emergency contact information

Clearly communicate house rules and sauna-specific guidelines

Ensure proper ventilation and temperature controls are working

Have liability insurance and inform guests of any limitations

Guest Responsibilities

Follow all host instructions and house rules

Respect the property and leave it in the condition you found it

Report any issues or accidents immediately to your host

Be honest about health conditions that might affect sauna use

Arrive and depart at agreed-upon times

Treat other guests and the host with respect and courtesy

Pay agreed-upon fees promptly and as discussed

Emergency Information

In Case of Emergency:

  • • Call 911 immediately for medical emergencies
  • • Exit the sauna and move to a cool, well-ventilated area
  • • Contact your host immediately
  • • Seek medical attention if you feel unwell

Warning Signs to Exit Immediately:

  • • Dizziness, nausea, or feeling faint
  • • Rapid or irregular heartbeat
  • • Difficulty breathing or chest pain
  • • Severe headache or confusion
  • • Any feeling of distress or discomfort
